The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a network-based organisation that has pioneered the development of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework and is committed to its continuous improvement and application worldwide. This framework sets out the principles and indicators that AngloGold Ashanti uses to measure and report the company’s economic, environmental, and social performance. The cornerstone of the framework is the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines which define and implement global standards for non-financial reporting.
AngloGold Ashanti is committed to reporting on an A+ basis against the GRI and to delivering non-financial reporting which is accurate, representative and is accessible to stakeholders. AngloGold Ashanti is an organisational stakeholder of the GRI.
The GRI content index presents AngloGold Ashanti’s performance against all relevant core performance indicators of the GRI, as well as additional indicators where these are material to the business.
