Using this report
AngloGold Ashanti has a responsibility to report its annual financial statements to its shareholders in line with legislation and regulations related to the listing requirements of the various stock exchanges on which the company is listed. At the same time though we acknowledge that, as the company conducts its business, so it has an impact – real or potential on a wide range of stakeholders, and that we should report to these stakeholders on these at the same time that we report to shareholders.
In addition to being available on the web, the reports and their component parts may be
downloaded as pdfs, or they may be requested in a printed form from the

This Annual Report 2006 comprises two main parts:
- The Annual Financial Statements 2006 which complies with the company’s statutory obligations and reports on the company’s operating and financial performance for the financial year. This report has its own mini-website on which additional information may also be found, including:
- Report to Society 2006 which seeks to report on a wide range of issues relating to the company and its impact to a broad and diverse range of stakeholders. The comprehensive web-based report provides a review of the company’s economic, social and environmental obligations for the financial year and a selection of case studies illustrating the most significant challenges and issues facing the group in terms of sustainable development.
