The data below provides disclosure under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicator LA7: Rates of injury, occupational diseases, lost days, and absenteeism, and number of work-related fatalities by region.

Safety is AngloGold Ashanti’s first value and most important business consideration. The company has committed to a long-term goal of operating an injury-free business and a five-year goal of reducing fatal injury frequency rates by 70% by 2012, from a 2007 baseline.
