| Safety is paramount | ||

At all AngloGold Ashanti operations, safety is of prime importance. All employees and visitors are issued with safety clothing and personal protective equipment, such as cap lamps, hard hats and boots, as well as additional safety items, like earplugs and goggles, appropriate to specific jobs. There are ongoing campaigns, both above and below ground, to encourage greater safety and occupational health awareness at all levels.
